Oh dear Lisbon, with its beautiful colors and petite streets. Next to its architectural wonders, the city has so many amazing food spots to discover. At any time in the city, all you really need is a good brunch spot where you can meet friends and hang out until you need a food-coma-nap. Fauna & Flora

With not only one but two locations in central Lisbon, this spot set the tone for Lisbon’s brunch culture. With the most amazing looking dishes, and plantful interior, you’ll be persuaded in seconds. Their ingredients are super fresh and flavourful. One of them can be found in hip Santos, and one of them in alternative Anjos by co-work space LACS.

La Boulangerie

Say bonjour to the baguettes. This charming spot, located in Santos, is a true French bakery. Their menu contains many classics: from crispy croissants with jam to perfectly scrambled eggs. Their platters are a treat to the eye, mixing fruits with cheeses and slices of fresh ham. If the weather is good, definitely sit outside and enjoy the sun hitting the pastel-colored neighbourhood.

Café Janis

Another Frenchie. This Parisian style cafe (pronounced with your best French accent [sjaanees]) has so much in store. From fresh croissants for breakfast to Friday PM happy hours, they do it all. And they do it well. This one’s for you if you love your food with an artsy edge. You can find them close to the river, in Cais do Sodré.

Manifest.Lisbon

This little spot in one word: cool. Their menu contains all kinds of yummy comfort food, and they have several brunch menu options. Tucked into the Saldanha neighbourhood, they welcome an eclectic mix of tourists, expats and locals. Have a look at their Instagram before ordering, to take a well-considered decision.

Seagull Method Café

Located in one of the most beautiful areas of Lisbon called Principe Real, Seagull Method has it all. Their brunch menu comes with unlimited mimosas; need we say more?! Save some room for a coffee, cause you don’t want to miss out on their latte art.
